Andrew O'Laughlin is a third-generation builder and licensed Professional Engineer with a deep, hands-on understanding of construction. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC) in just three years. While at UMKC, he led key student organizations such as the Design-Build Institute of America and the American Concrete Institute, and contributed to graduate-level research. He also holds a B.S. in Agribusiness Management from the University of Missouri (Mizzou).
With over 25 years of field experience, Andrew has done the work—literally. He’s been a skilled laborer, mason, ironworker, concrete finisher, carpenter, heavy equipment operator, and concrete plant operator. He’s built 5G telecom infrastructure, managed multimillion-dollar energy projects like power plants and substations, and quickly advanced to mid-level management at a globally recognized engineering firm. He’s also spent two years managing commercial construction and the past six years running O’Laughlin Construction as a residential and commercial general contractor.
Andrew doesn’t just supervise projects—he understands how things are built from the ground up. His hands-on expertise, engineering credentials, and leadership background allow him to deliver exceptional results with precision and accountability.
Outside of work, Andrew is committed to serving others. He’s volunteered with Uplift to feed the homeless, coached youth through Upward Basketball, served on a SCORE International mission trip, supported the Down Syndrome Guild, and stays active with Big Brothers & Big Sisters. He enjoys traveling, outdoor adventure, and spending time with his Golden Retriever, Gracie.
