Andrew O'Laughlin is a third-generation builder and licensed Professional Engineer whose career bridges hands-on construction, engineering, and leadership. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC) in just three years, where he also led the Design-Build Institute of America and the American Concrete Institute and contributed to graduate-level research. He additionally holds a B.S. in Agribusiness Management from the University of Missouri (Mizzou).
With more than 25 years of real-world experience, Andrew brings a rare depth of understanding to every project. He has worked in the field as a laborer, mason, ironworker, carpenter, concrete finisher, heavy equipment operator, and concrete plant operator. His career includes building 5G telecommunications infrastructure, managing large-scale energy and power generation projects, and advancing into management roles at a globally recognized engineering firm. Over the past six years, he has led O’Laughlin Construction as a residential and commercial general contractor, delivering high-quality projects with precision and accountability.
Andrew’s strength lies in his ability to see projects from every angle—how they are designed, how they are built, and how they perform over time. His engineering background, hands-on experience, and disciplined management approach allow clients to move forward with confidence, knowing their investment is being executed with clarity, care, and technical expertise.
Outside of work, Andrew is deeply committed to community service and mentorship, supporting organizations focused on youth development, service, and outreach. He enjoys traveling, outdoor adventure, and spending time with his Golden Retriever, Gracie.
